Environmental protection
Environmental protection authorities’ duties are handled by the Environmental Supervision of the City of Rovaniemi. These duties include, among other things, environmental and mineral extraction permits.
Environmental health monitoring
Environmental health monitoring as well as veterinary and animal welfare tasks are handled by Sea Lapland Environmental Services. The public health protection authority is Sea Lapland Environmental Health and Public Transport Division.
