Library
The library is a welcoming place to work, study, read, play games or simply spend time. You can use public computers and free Wi-Fi, and we organise a variety of events and exhibitions throughout the year. Information about upcoming events is available in the Tervola magazine, on the municipal website and on the library’s social media channels.
Our collection offers much more than books. In addition to books, magazines and other library materials, you can also borrow items such as blood pressure monitors and sliding snowshoes. The library also maintains local history and Paasilinna collections, which are available for research purposes.
The library’s services and facilities are available to everyone free of charge. During self-service library hours, you can borrow items, read newspapers and magazines, and use the public computers independently. You can enter the library during self-service library hours with a valid Libraries of Lapland library card and your personal PIN.
Tervola Library is part of the Libraries of Lapland network. With your library card, you have access to the collections of all Libraries of Lapland. The same library card can be used to borrow and reserve items at libraries throughout the Lapland region. Libraries of Lapland share an online library where you can search the collections, renew your loans and place reservations. Reserving items from any Libraries of Lapland library is free of charge.
