District heating
District heating is a form of heating that saves energy and keeps the environment clean.
The district heating of the municipality of Tervola is mainly produced using wood chips. The total capacity of the Tervola heating plant is 4.7 MW, of which the capacity for using solid domestic fuel is 2.5 MW. The district heating network has been built in the designated area of Siltatie-Lukiontie.
