E-books and e-audiobooks

Tervola joined the joint municipal E-library at the beginning of January 2025. As a result, you have access to both the services of the joint municipal E-library and the Northern eLibrary, which has been operating since 2022.

E-library

Domestic and foreign language e-books and audiobooks are available in the E-library. The E-library can be used on phones and tablets. You can download the E-library app for free from your app store.

The Northern eLibrary continues to offer foreign-language e-books and audiobooks through the OverDrive app.

Celia’s audiobooks

The Celia Library’s audiobook service is intended for people who have difficulty reading printed text. Reasons for reading difficulties can include, for example, visual impairment or reduced vision, dyslexia, developmental disabilities, or a temporary reading difficulty caused by illness. Celia is a state special library that produces and distributes literature in accessible formats, such as audiobooks.

Audiobooks produced by the Celia Library can be borrowed from the audiobook shelf at Tervola Library. Audiobooks can be listened to on CD players with mp3 capability or on computers.

At the Tervola library, you can also register as a user of Celia’s online services, allowing audiobooks to be listened to immediately on your own computer, tablet, or smartphone. The online service provides access to Celia’s entire audiobook collection, currently about 40,000 books. Each year, the collection grows by approximately a thousand new audiobooks.
