Dog park

The dog park in Tervola was opened in October 2024.

The park is divided into sections for small and large dogs. The park has separate, lockable entrance areas where you can leash your dog. The entrance area also helps reduce the risk of accidental escapes.

The undergrowth has been cleared, and the area has been opened up by removing a few trees. The ground has been leveled, but some surface features have been left to provide activities for the dogs. Benches will be placed inside the park near the entrance area, along with trash bins for each section and outside the fence. In addition, paths will be made inside the enclosure. The fence will also have gates for maintenance. Instruction signs for the park will be installed during the fall of 2024.

There is no winter maintenance in the park, but it can be used in winter as long as the snow depth allows.

The Tervola dog park is part of the Tervola local exercise and recreation area project, which is supported by Peräpohjolan Leader and co-financed by the European Union.
