Kirkonkylä – Pirtu Trail snowmobile trail

The route starts from Kirkonkylä at the Jurvanoja bridge (Itäpuolentie 1506) towards Lehmikumpu. From there, it heads along Viljamaantie towards the Pirtu trail.

Pirtu trail

An old route that runs from Keminmaa to Simo and passes through Tervola. In Tervola, currently only the section from the Kirkonkylä route toward Ossaus and Vammavaara is in use and maintained. The route continues to the municipal border, from where there is a connection toward Rovaniemi.

Ossaus – Kätkävaara snowmobile trail

You can access the Kätkävaara trail from Liikenneasema Mäkipeura; the authorized crossing from the Pirtu trail over the track has been closed since the railway crossing was removed.
