Preschool education
Every child must participate in a year-long pre-primary education or other activities that achieve the objectives of pre-primary education in the year preceding the start of compulsory education. The scope of pre-primary education is at least 700 hours, which averages to four hours per day.
Pre-primary education is planned and guided upbringing and teaching. Pre-primary education forms a natural continuation of early childhood education, and its purpose is to strengthen and enhance school readiness.
Preschool education in Tervola is implemented within the school system. Lapinniemi School has its own separate preschool group. At the schools in Kaisajoki, Loue, and Mattinen, preschool education takes place in combined classes with students in grades 1-2.
You must register for preschool by March 15th in Wilma.
