Peaceful residential environment

Tervola is also a very family-friendly municipality, as we currently pay the largest baby allowance in Lapland! We also have free early childhood education, which all children from Tervola are entitled to after they have spent a total of one year in municipal daycare.

New residents of Tervola are also recognized at the Tervola library, which, in cooperation with the maternity clinic, gives a book gift to every child born in Tervola and their family.

In our schools, class sizes are small and the village school network is extensive. Children’s and young people’s activities are affordable and easy to join.

Things happen year-round in Tervola! Maaseudulta Käsin fair event (website is in Finnish), organized in collaboration with Lappia Vocational College at Loue, attracts interested visitors every year.
