  • Technical committee

    The technical committee’s areas of responsibility include technical management, public areas, properties, the heating plant, as well as zoning and the environment.

    The committee consists of seven members, of whom at least four are selected from among the councilors or deputy councilors. The technical director acts as the rapporteur for the technical committee.

    Meetings are held as needed, once a month according to the following preliminary meeting schedule, and additionally when necessary in accordance with Section 119 of the administrative regulations. After review, the minutes are made publicly available in the public data network.

  • Education committee

    The committee’s areas of responsibility are the administration of education, early childhood education, basic education, upper secondary education, adult education, and leisure activities.

    The committee has seven members, of whom at least four are elected from the council members or deputy council members. The presenter is the Director of education.

    The meetings of the Education committee are generally held on the last Tuesday of each month. The minutes are made publicly available online after being reviewed.

  • Audit committee

    The committee has a chairperson and a vice-chairperson, as well as three other members. Each member has a personal deputy. The chairperson and vice-chairperson of the committee must be council members. At least one of the committee members is elected from among the council members or deputy council members. The auditor serves as the secretary of the audit committee.

    The audit committee is elected for the term of the council.

  • Central election committee

    According to the Election Act, the council must appoint a municipal central election committee for its term in office. The municipal central election committee is responsible for the general organization of elections in the municipality. In municipal elections, it is also responsible for candidate nomination and vote counting.

    The committee’s area of responsibility is elections. The committee has five members. Matters in the committee are resolved based on the report of the chairperson of the central election committee.
