Municipal board

Information about the municipal board.

The municipal executive board is responsible for the administration and financial management of the municipality, as well as for preparing, implementing, and supervising the legality of the council’s decisions. The municipal executive board oversees the municipality’s interests and, unless otherwise specified in the rules of procedure, represents the municipality and exercises its right to speak. The municipal executive board is responsible for coordinating the municipality’s activities and owner governance, as well as ensuring internal control and organizing risk management.

The municipal board’s result areas are general management, personnel, business development, and public transport. The municipal board has five members, at least three of whom are elected from the members of the municipal council. There is one vice chairperson.

The municipal board is elected for a two-year term of office, which begins and ends with the change of term of the council members.

The municipal manager acts as the presenter for the municipal board.
