Economy and strategy

The municipal strategy is a tool for the council’s long-term planning and management guidance. It directs the decision-making of the municipality and the municipal group. To achieve the strategic objectives, measures that enable reaching the goals are strengthened during the annual budgeting process.

Group companies prepare their own action plans, the implementation of which strengthens their own operations and promotes the implementation of the municipal strategy.

Various administrative bodies monitor the achievement of strategy-related goals in their own operations and report on them in connection with budget monitoring and the financial statements.

The municipal board reports on the implementation of the municipal strategy at the level of the entire municipal group in connection with the financial statements. At the end of the council term, a self-assessment of the implementation of the municipal strategy is carried out.
