Free driving lessons for high school students

In Tervola, it has been decided to continue offering free driving lessons to high school students.

Since the beginning of August 2023, it has been possible for students studying full-time at Tervola High School to complete a B-class driving license free of charge. So far, 30 high school students have taken advantage of this opportunity (as of December 1, 2025).

The goal of the free driving lessons is to encourage young people to enroll in local high school studies. The free driving lessons offered to high school students do not include official fees or additional driving hours.

The Tervola Education Board has decided to continue providing free driving lessons to high school students until the end of July 2029. The principles for utilizing the lessons remain the same as before. By successfully completing the driving lessons, the student earns one study module.
