Outreach youth work
Outreach Youth Work is a free and confidential service for young people under the age of 29. Outreach youth workers provide support, guidance and encouragement in matters related to education, employment, daily life and well-being.
Together with the young person, outreach youth workers help identify suitable services and sources of support. Participation is voluntary, and support is based on the young person’s own needs and goals.
Outreach youth work is based on voluntary participation and the individual needs of each young person. Support is tailored to the young person’s situation, wishes and goals. Together, we can explore different options and help identify the services and support that may be useful.
You can talk with an outreach youth worker in confidence about matters that are important to you. Discussions are confidential, and support is provided at your own pace.
An outreach youth worker can be contacted by:
- young people themselves
- parents or guardians
- school staff
- public authorities, such as social services or employment services
- family members, friends and other people close to a young person
Please feel free to get in touch, even if your concern seems small. We are happy to listen and discuss different options with you. You can contact us by phone or email, or simply speak to an outreach youth worker when you meet one.
The outreach youth worker’s office is located at the municipal office, but meetings can also be arranged at other locations, such as the youth centre.
Outreach youth work uses the PAR information system to record referrals and customer information in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. The privacy notice is available from the outreach youth worker.
