Whether you are looking for information, reading recommendations or help using library services, our staff are happy to assist you. With a Libraries of Lapland library card, you can borrow items, place reservations, use digital services and access the collections of all Libraries of Lapland libraries.
Get a library card
You need a library card to borrow materials, place holds and use many of the library’s online services.
You can get a library card from Tervola Library by presenting a valid photo ID and agreeing to the rules of the Libraries of Lapland. Children under the age of 15 need the consent of a parent or guardian. The first library card is free of charge.
You can print and complete the library card application form in Finnish or English before your visit, or fill it in at the library.
Please have your library card with you when borrowing items. Library cards are personal, and each customer is responsible for all items borrowed using their card. Items cannot be borrowed without a valid library card.
Please keep your library card and PIN code safe and do not share them with anyone. Your library card can be used in all Libraries of Lapland.
If your address, telephone number, email address or other contact details change, please let the library know so that we can keep your customer information up to date and contact you when necessary.
If your library card is lost or stolen, report it to the library as soon as possible to prevent unauthorised use. Until the loss has been reported, the card holder is responsible for any items borrowed with the card.
