Interlibrary services
The interlibrary loan service gives you access to materials from libraries across Finland. If the item you are looking for is not available in the Libraries of Lapland collection, we may be able to obtain it from another library through an interlibrary loan. Interlibrary loans make it possible to access materials that are not available locally, including books, articles and other library resources. Requests are sent to libraries throughout Finland, depending on where the material is available. Delivery times vary depending on the lending library and the type of material requested. Library staff will notify you when the requested item is ready for collection. If you are unsure whether an item is available through interlibrary loan, library staff are happy to help you find information and submit a request.
Interlibrary loans are subject to a fee according to the current price list. The fee is also charged if the request is not cancelled before the item has been dispatched by the lending library.
