The Business company provides economic services to the municipality of Tervola, participates in planning development projects, marketing premises and construction sites, developing business environments, municipal marketing and implementing the economic strategy. The company’s goal is to create and develop business activities that strengthen the expertise, growth and competitiveness of production and service companies in the municipality. The economic company is owned by the municipality of Tervola. The contact person is the economic coordinator. Tervola Business company is a part of a regional expert network

Tervola Business company is also part of a broad-based expert network, through which it is possible to offer expert services that take into account the needs of business customers. The company has a purchasing service agreement that enables customers and companies to also deal with the Kemi-Tornio regional business service maintained by Digipolis and the business experts of Business Tornio, if necessary.

  • Search service for advice on changing ownership of companies

    Ownership change advice helps current or future entrepreneurs in their first steps towards a successful change of ownership. The advice is intended for entrepreneurs planning to buy, sell or transfer a company, and for people planning entrepreneurship, and it is free of charge for the customer.

    The new search service brings together parties offering ownership change advice. There are over 120 advisors who represent the regional organizations of Finnish Enterprises and their development projects, New Enterprise Centers, municipal business activities and companies, ProAgria, Metsäkeskus and other public and private parties providing ownership change advice. The search service is provided by the MOP project / Developing the ownership change ecosystem of rural enterprises – A nationwide low-threshold service network for sellers and buyers.

  • Youth summer work voucher

    The principles of summer employment for young people have been updated. In the future, only summer work vouchers will be used as a form of employment for young people. The summer work voucher supports the young person’s employer in employing the young person for at least three weeks and is worth €450.

    The vouchers are issued in the order in which applications are received and are distributed within the limits of the budget.

    All young people who have completed the 8th grade and are older and who are registered in Tervola can apply for a summer work voucher. The upper age limit for receiving a voucher is 20 years. A maximum of one summer work voucher can be received in the same summer.
