Library
The Tervola Library is located in the Lapinniemi School building. The library’s activities aim to promote equal learning and well-being through a diverse collection and customer-oriented services. The library provides information services, guidance, and support for information retrieval and use. The library staff work to promote reading in collaboration with kindergartens, schools, and other stakeholders.
At the library, you can work, study, read newspapers, play games, or use computers and free wireless internet. The library hosts various events and exhibitions, which we announce in the Tervola magazine, on our website, and on the library’s social media. From the extensive collection, you can borrow materials ranging from books to blood pressure monitors and sliding shoes. The library maintains local history and Paasilinna collections, which are available for research use.
The library’s services and facilities are freely available to everyone. During self-service hours, you can borrow materials using the borrowing machine, read newspapers, and use public computers. During self-service hours, you can access the library with a valid Lapland library card and a personal PIN code.
The Tervola library is part of the Lapland library network. With a library card, you have access to the collections of all Lapland libraries: with the same library card, you can borrow and reserve materials throughout the Lapland region.
