E-materials
The Lapland library offers its customers e-content through the national E-library and the Northern eLibrary.
The Joint E-Library of Municipalities
Tervola joined the joint municipal e-library on January 1, 2025.
Northern eLibrary

The Northern eLibrary still offers foreign-language e-books and audiobooks (OverDrive), newspapers (ePress), foreign-language magazines (PressReader), movies (Cineast), singing and music lessons (Rockway), classical music (Naxos), as well as art music documentaries and concert recordings (Medici.tv). You use the Northern eLibrary’s materials as usual in your browser with your library card and PIN code. Some services also have a free app available.
All services are free for library customers. To use them, you need a valid library card with an attached PIN code and a device with an internet connection. Cards from the Sotkamo, Lappi, Joki, Kainet, and OUTI libraries are accepted for logging in. The services can be accessed through your own library’s online catalog. The services are remote, meaning they can be used even while on a cottage trip. An exception is the ePress service, which is only available in libraries.
